One of the leading figures on the Monaco banking scene has left his post suddenly after just two years.

Hervé Ordioni, Head of International Private Banking at Edmond de Rothschild is no longer with the Geneva-based bank, as reported by Inside Paradeplatz and the online financial site finews.com and confirmed by the bank.

Underscoring the suddenness of his departure, his place is being taken on a temporary basis by Deputy CEO Cynthia Tobiano.

Ordioni was a key player in the setting up in 2008 of Edmond de Rothschild Gestion (Monaco), a portfolio and fund manager.

In his position as CEO of International Private Banking, Ordioni was responsible for the bank’s business in Switzerland, Dubai, Israel, and the UK, as well as Monaco.
