La Belle – Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo
Dive into a beautiful yet ferocious psychoanalytical study of the famous fairytale by Perrault. Jean-Christophe Maillot has striven to break through the sugary Disney crust of La Belle to create a ballet that speaks directly to our inner child, our fears and our desires. This production introduces us to the lesser-known second act of Perrault’s tale, in which the heroine’s awakening and her wedding to the Prince are not the end of the story. This part is dark and terrifying: the Princess, now Queen, and her children are threatened by her stepmother, the Ogress Carabosse.

Pouce la Vie #5 – Concert
Following the success of the first four editions, the FONDATION FLAVIEN presents POUCE LA VIE #5, a special concert with the pianist and composer Yvan CASSAR and the CALL ME WINSTON orchestra. Discovery of Fire – Easter Holiday Workshops for children
How did they make fire back in those days, without matches or lighters? In this workshop you will learn to make fire by different methods, friction and percussion, just like prehistoric hunter-gatherers. Escape Game: “In the Footsteps of the Archaeologists”. An escape game in which the participants must race against the clock (30 or 45 minutes) to solve their mission. Surprise: egg hunt. For ages 8 and over. Permaculture: how to apply it to your garden or balcony – Lecture
The aim of a permaculture vegetable patch is to produce nutritious fruits and vegetables whilst taking care of the environment. Olivier PIERRET, from the association Terres en partage, will explain this ethical and philosophical approach that looks after the Earth and humanity, and promotes equal sharing of resources. The lecture will include numerous hints and tips to try at home. The lecture is in French. On Thursday, April 27 at 18:30 at the Médiathèque de Monaco – Bibliothèque Louis Notari. Free entry.
Eclats de Vie – Deuxième – French Theatre
Jacques Weber resumes the special tour to mark his 50 years in the business, with a flight of poetry, an intimate literary escape. For ninety minutes, the finest written words in the French language, the greatest works of classical and contemporary literature break free of the bookshelves and fly to the ears of every spectator, from Beckett to Artaud, via Molière, Duras and Claudel, Devos, La Fontaine and Hugo. Directed by Christine Weber. Winner of the Molière d’Honneur award in 2022.On Thursday, April 27 at 20:00 at the Théâtre Princesse Grace.

Rally Father – Daughter – Event
Since 2017, the Rallye Père-Fille™ event has brought together fathers and daughters who love beautiful things: special attention to detail, welcoming tables, first-class hotels and meetings with other crews who share the same philosophy.
In 2023, the rally is changing. Not only because its logo is changing to distinguish it from the Rallye Père-Fils™ but also because the organisers are limiting the number of crews to 50. As for the cars, even if the rally is open to all makes, it will now be composed of 25 classic and 25 modern cars, the models also having to be all different. In addition, the competition will include two classifications, according to the classic or modern categories. More details here.

Massimo Listri – Photographs – Exhibition
Until April 28, Moretti Fine Art is pleased to welcome you at the Monaco exhibition Massimo Listri – Photographs, a retrospective dedicated to Massimo Listri, a world-renowned artist of architectural photography.
The exhibition brings together a selection of 15 photographs that trace the artist’s long career, offering a complete panorama of his production, with large-scale works of considerable visual impact.
The images proposed are transcendental: his photos transmit an almost deafening silence, as if time had stopped, empty interiors illuminated by a perfect light that creates a surreal atmosphere and idealises their beauty. The same beauty that we find in Arno Brecker’s sculptures immortalised in these close-up portraits.
Massimo Listri’s photographic creations in homage to the most beautiful palaces, interiors, villas and extraordinary architectural works of all time. In 35 years and in collaboration with the most prestigious publishers in Europe and the United States, he has published over 80 books. George Condo – Humanoids – Exhibition
For George Condo, “the Humanoid is not a science fiction monster, but a depiction that uses traditional methods to bring a person’s inner emotions to the surface”. Over the course of eight sections, the exhibition traces the continuity of a profuse body of work that ranges from “space beings” to Who’s Who, from Guido Reni to Bugs Bunny. Featuring specially produced paintings, the exhibition offers a glimpse of the artist’s process of invention – as crazy as it is erudite – of humanoids. ESTABLISHING HEALTHY BOUNDARIES
During this lively presentation, U.K. psychotherapist and leadership coach Gavin Sharpe will share his top tips for learning how to say no, and leaving those people pleasing tendencies behind.
Research shows that the more difficulty we have saying no, the more likely we are to experience stress, burnout, and even depression. In fact, stress shrinks the brain. (Does that explain your partner?!)
Setting personal boundaries is one of the most essential tools for healthy living. It also happens to be one of the hardest tools to deploy.
The digital age has blurred our boundaries. For example, more of us work from home, at least some of the time. Our work phones are often the same as our private phones. Basically, life today is complicated. The need to have healthy boundaries for healthy living is key.
So come along and learn the art of saying no and the skill in setting healthy boundaries. You won’t leave disappointed and you might leave a little wiser!
