A Monegasque delegation led by Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Minister of External Relations and Cooperation, made an official visit over several days to Niger to meet local partners and beneficiaries of projects supported by the Monegasque Cooperation.

The visit was an opportunity to strengthen ties with the country’s authorities and Mme Isabelle Berro-Amadeï was received in Audience by Niger’s Head of State HE Mr. Mohamed Bazoum. She also met Prime Minister Mahamadou Ouhoumoudou as well as the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Public Health, Trade, Humanitarian Action, and Agriculture.

Talks during the Bilateral Cooperation Commission demonstrated a shared desire to pursue and deepen exchanges on development strategies and cooperation, particularly in the areas of food security and nutrition, health, education and child protection as well as access to work.

Climate change and its impact on Niger was also high on the agenda.
