Meteo France has issued a storm warning for the region from 17:00 on Sunday, February 26.
The yellow alert applies to high winds and high waves along the coast that may result in flooding.
Gusts are expected to average 45 kph in most places, although Antibes may bear the brunt of the weather with gusts as high as 70 kph.
The stormy weather is expected to last into the night.
