Monaco’s annual consular meeting was an opportunity to bring together the Honorary Consuls of Monaco in order to offer them an overview of current issues in the Principality.

This was the first such reunion after three years, due to coronavirus restrictions in 2020 and 2021.

Isabelle Berro-Amadeï was delighted to open the 2022 consular meeting, and to welcome for the first time in her capacity as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, the Consuls of Monaco abroad.

Minister of State Pierre Dartout expressed the gratitude of the Prince’s Government for their promotion of the Principality, emphasising that “the Consular Corps is an essential element which strongly contributes to the attractiveness of Monaco…”.

Jean Castellini, Minister of Finance and the Economy, spoke about the importance of preserving balanced public finances and the diversified nature of the Monegasque economy, and on the recent recognition by the OECD of the results obtained by the Principality in terms of international cooperation in tax matters.

The Principality currently has 130 Consulates operating in 82 States around the world.
