While the World Cup continues in Qatar. major stakeholders in Peace-through-Sport will meet in Monaco on November 30 to highlight sport’s contribution to peace

As the world faces unprecedented geopolitical tensions, HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, HRH Prince Khaled Al Waleed, HE Dr. George Manneh, Weah President of the Republic of Liberia and winner of the 1995 Ballon d’Or, and Raí Oliveira 1994 FIFA World Cup winner and Legend of PSG Football Club, will join Joël Bouzou OLY President and Founder of Peace and Sport and other prestigious guests to highlight sport’s contribution to peace.

Six Awards will be presented by Marc Maury and Anne Laure Bonnet during the Peace and Sport Awards ceremony, including the ‘Champion for Peace of the Year’ Award. The 2022 nominees comprise twelve organisations, including the Estonian Olympic Committee, the Ford Motor Company Fund, the 4-H Zimbabwe Foundation, Birmingham City Council, and the World Karate Federation.

This year’s Forum will be a hub for key decision-makers, experts, and bright young talents, who will embark on a journey to explore the theme “Sport is an answer for peace.” This 13th Peace and Sport International Forum will be held at the Fairmont Monte Carlo, located in the heart of the Principality, on November 30 and December 1.

This edition will mark the 15th anniversary of Peace and Sport, paying tribute to 15 years of peace commitment through the power of sport.
