Nurses who refused to be vaccinated during the height of the coronavirus pandemic in Monaco and who were eventually suspended will not be allowed back to work, at least for the time being, Minister of Health and Social Affairs Christophe Robino said.

The situation will be re-examined on the last day of April next year, after 18 months have passed. However, in order for the nursing staff to be reinstated, the special ministerial measures relating to the pandemic would have to be lifted, Mr Robino said, adding that at the moment the Government does not intend to lift these special measures.

It has been reported that 18 medical staff at Princess Grace Hospital were suspended for refusing to be vaccinated against coronavirus.
