Following the success of a first edition held in 2021, the Management of Urban Planning (DAU) repeats the “Week-End Nature” experience this Saturday 8 and Sunday October 9, around the thrilling theme “Mission Jardinier”, which will fascinate young and old, according to the Government.

From 10:00 to 17:00, the Gardens Section of the DAU will welcome participants to the Princess Grace Rose Garden of Fontvieille and the greenhouses of Saint-Laurent d’Eze.

When each person arrives at one of the reception stands, apprentice investigators will be given an ‘envelope of mission’ and an investigator map, in order to find the relevant points scattered in the gardens and solve puzzles to unlock the gardeners’ secrets.

On the program of this life-size treasure hunt and these unusual workshops: • Fontvieille site / Princess Grace rose garden: – Understand life underground – Observer of funny insects – Installer of a watering circuit – Discover the secrets of roses •

Cultivation greenhouses of Saint-Laurent d’Eze*: – Explore crop greenhouses – Participate in mechanised repotting – Explore the educational experimental vegetable garden – Taste edible flowers – Transform an old pair of baskets (brought by each participant who wishes) into a planter.

The high point of the nature weekend: the concert of the Orchestra of the Prince’s Carabinieri, on Saturday 08:00 to 18:00, in the Jardins Saint-Martin where participants are invited to bring a picnic to share a friendly moment in the gardens.
