A decade after its creation, Les Musiciens du Prince – Monaco has reached a significant milestone with the release of its first studio album, joining one of the most respected recording projects in the world of classical music.

Founded in 2016 by Cecilia Bartoli and Jean-Louis Grinda, the orchestra has unveiled Concerti per vari strumenti II, produced in collaboration with the renowned classical music label Naïve Records.

The recording becomes part of the celebrated Vivaldi Edition, an ambitious international collection dedicated to the works of Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi. The series is widely regarded as one of the most important projects devoted to the rediscovery and recording of Vivaldi’s music.

Recorded at the gallery space of Hauser & Wirth under the direction of conductor Gianluca Capuano, the album features six concertos showcasing the composer’s mastery of instrumental writing and the orchestra’s commitment to historically informed performance.

Since its formation, Les Musiciens du Prince has established itself as one of Monaco’s leading cultural ambassadors, performing regularly across Europe and specialising in Baroque and Classical repertoire. The release of a debut album marks a new chapter for the ensemble, extending its reach beyond the concert hall and introducing its work to a global audience.

Margherita Rizzi Brignoli, General Manager of the orchestra, described the project as an important achievement for the ensemble, reflecting years of artistic development and collaboration with leading figures in the classical music world.

Concerti per vari strumenti II is now available through major music retailers and streaming platforms, giving listeners worldwide the opportunity to discover Monaco’s acclaimed period-instrument orchestra through its first official recording.
