Monaco’s Condamine Market will temporarily relocate to the Léo Ferré area during the Formula 1 Grand Prix period to make way for the installation of the Grand Prix Fan Zone in Place d’Armes…
The temporary arrangement will come into effect from May 26 and remain in place until around June 14, allowing preparations, event operations and dismantling work to take place around the busy Grand Prix schedule. Market activity at the current site will end on May 23 before traders move to the temporary location.
Deputy Mayor Marjorie Crovetto explained that the relocation was designed to ensure regular customers could continue accessing local traders throughout the period. The temporary market at Espace Léon Ferré will host Solis Bio produce stands along with the market florist, maintaining a presence for fresh products in the district while the fan zone occupies the square.
Restaurant operators, however, will not relocate due to technical constraints linked to cooking facilities and sanitation requirements. As the temporary site cannot accommodate extraction systems or restaurant infrastructure, food establishments within the market will close for approximately three weeks before reopening once the original market structure has been fully reinstalled.
According to Monaco City Hall, traders are expected to return to their usual locations in Place d’Armes around June 15 or 16 following the complete reassembly of the market kiosks.
