The Roca Team powered into the final of the Leaders Cup with an emphatic 115–83 victory against Cholet Basket on Saturday, February 21 at Futuroscope, delivering one of their most complete performances of the season.

Coming off a narrow quarter-final escape the previous day, Monaco immediately imposed its rhythm in the semi-final. Head coach Vassilis Spanoulis’s starting unit set the tone early with crisp ball movement and disciplined defense, allowing the Principality side to seize control before Cholet could settle. Inside scoring from Daniel Theis and fluid offensive sequences created open looks, while transition play helped stretch the advantage.

The first quarter belonged largely to Mike James, whose scoring bursts and playmaking sparked a double-digit lead. Monaco’s attack continued to flow in the second period, combining quick penetration with sharp perimeter shooting. Alpha Diallo, returning from injury, made an immediate impact with back-to-back three-pointers that pushed the gap beyond twenty points and left Cholet struggling to respond.

Although Cholet briefly rallied after halftime with a scoring run that trimmed the deficit, Monaco quickly restored order through accurate outside shooting and fast-break execution. By the final quarter, the result was effectively decided, with Juhann Begarin adding late baskets to cap a commanding display.

After the game, Diallo praised the collective effort, highlighting the team’s defensive focus and intensity throughout the full forty minutes. Begarin emphasized that reaching the final was only part of the objective, noting the squad’s determination to go one step further than last year and lift the trophy.

Monaco now advances to Sunday’s final brimming with confidence after a performance that combined offensive firepower with near-flawless defensive execution.
