Opera Gallery has announced the appointment of Federica Beretta as Global Director, marking a new chapter for the international gallery network with strong ties to Monaco…
In her new role, Beretta will lead the development of projects with artists and estates while expanding the gallery’s artistic programme across its global platform. Based primarily in Monaco and London, she will work closely with artists, collectors and institutions throughout Opera Gallery’s international network.
Beretta joins from Hauser & Wirth Monaco, where she served as Director and collaborated on major projects with artists including George Condo, Mark Bradford, John Chamberlain and Annie Leibovitz. During her tenure, she also worked closely with leading institutions such as the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. Recognised for her influence within the contemporary art world, she was named among Italy’s most influential figures in contemporary art by Il Giornale dell’Arte.
This appointment also marks a return to Opera Gallery, where Beretta previously directed the Bond Street location in London between 2018 and 2022. Over her career she has curated more than forty exhibitions and overseen significant public art projects in partnership with Westminster City Council.
Founded in Singapore in 1994, Opera Gallery has built a global presence with spaces in London, Monaco, Paris, New York, Geneva, Madrid and Dubai. With Beretta’s leadership, the gallery aims to further strengthen its international programme and deepen collaborations across the contemporary art landscape.
