Three Monegasque adventurers are pushing their limits on some of the world’s most demanding summits, driven by a shared passion for exploration and self-improvement…
Benoît, Nicolas and Julien have embarked on ambitious annual expeditions since 2020, most recently returning from the volcanic peaks of the Ecuadorian Andes, a spectacular yet unforgiving environment where altitude, cold and fatigue test even the most experienced climbers.
Their approach to mountaineering is methodical and disciplined. Months of physical preparation and careful acclimatisation are essential before any ascent, with gradual altitude gains allowing the body to adapt to thinner air and extreme conditions. Spending days moving between elevations before attempting a summit helps reduce the risk of altitude sickness, a constant concern in high-mountain environments where oxygen levels are significantly lower.
While mountaineering has grown in popularity through social media, the trio emphasise that high-altitude climbing is far from a casual pursuit. Expeditions above 6,000 metres demand technical skills, specialist equipment and substantial planning, as well as the financial and logistical commitment required for international travel and training.
Beyond personal achievement, the three friends have created the Wolf Pack Sport Team association to promote access to sport and inspire others to challenge themselves responsibly. Their next major objective is already on the horizon: in 2027, they plan to head to Alaska in a bid to reach North America’s highest summit.
For these Monaco climbers, each ascent is not just about reaching the top, but about resilience, preparation and the shared spirit of adventure.
