Which startups will become the next success stories of Monaco’s innovation ecosystem? That was the question as six shortlisted entrepreneurs presented their projects to the final selection jury at MonacoTech, the Principality’s flagship business incubator…

This decisive pitching session marked the final stage of a highly competitive recruitment process, with more than 90 initial applications narrowed down to just a handful of finalists.

The jury, made up of experts from business, finance and innovation, assessed whether the candidates’ projects matched both the technical standards and the strategic priorities of the Principality. Particular attention was paid to sectors such as artificial intelligence, health technologies and sustainable solutions, reflecting Monaco’s long-term economic and environmental ambitions.

Among the projects presented was a medical innovation that uses MRI and scanner data to create a three-dimensional hologram of a patient’s anatomy, allowing surgeons to visualise and plan procedures with extreme precision directly in the operating theatre. A technology that could significantly improve surgical accuracy and patient safety.

Successful candidates will join MonacoTech’s next intake in March and benefit from an 18-month support programme. This includes coaching in business development, fundraising, intellectual property protection, accounting, and access to a network of mentors and potential investors.

Since its launch in 2017, MonacoTech has supported more than 70 startups, helping transform early-stage ideas into viable companies and reinforcing the Principality’s position as a growing hub for innovation. For the six finalists, the jury’s decision could mark the start of a new chapter, and perhaps the birth of Monaco’s next tech champions.
