In a world where every second counts, the Monaco Red Cross is making sure more people know exactly what to do…

Through its free Prévention et Secours Civiques (PSC) training, the humanitarian organisation issues over a thousand first aid diplomas each year—empowering citizens to take life-saving action when it matters most.

Held at the Red Cross headquarters on Avenue de la Costa, the two-day course covers vital skills such as CPR, defibrillator use, treating burns, and responding to unconsciousness. The training fulfils a wish once expressed by Princess Grace herself: to make first aid education widely accessible in the Principality.

Participants come from all walks of life—students, construction workers, aspiring firefighters, and parents alike. For biology student Chloé Donges, it’s about being prepared for emergencies during her future Pilates teaching. Her friend Rinna Fe Agustin adds, “We’re taught what not to do—like giving water to someone who’s choking.”

For construction worker Gianluigi Friuli, who is retraining after a three-year gap, first aid is not just for work, it’s for peace of mind. “It has to become second nature,” he says.

Even experienced professionals like firefighter Flavio Filippi attend, recognising that techniques evolve and must be regularly refreshed.

Whether you live in Monaco, work here, or belong to a local association, the CRM’s free training is open to you. Because knowing how to act in an emergency doesn’t just help others—it could save the life of someone you love.
