AS Monaco have secured the long-term future of Danish striker Mika Biereth, with the 22-year-old committing his future to the club until the summer of 2030.
Biereth, who joined the Principality outfit from Austrian side Sturm Graz in January, has made a blistering start to life in Ligue 1, smashing records and defences with equal ease. In just 16 league appearances, he found the net 13 times and chipped in with two assists—figures that not only helped fire Monaco to another Champions League qualification but also catapulted him into the top 10 contenders for the 2025 Golden Boot.
The young forward etched his name into club folklore with three consecutive hat-tricks at the Stade Louis-II, including a lightning-fast treble against AJ Auxerre in just over eight minutes. He followed that up with clinical performances against Nantes and Reims, and a match-winning strike in a tense 2-1 derby victory over rivals OGC Nice.
Biereth also entered the Ligue 1 history books by becoming the fastest player to score 10 goals in a season since 1947–48, reaching double digits in just seven matches. His explosive start makes him the first winter signing in over two decades to hit such numbers in a debut campaign.
His club form hasn’t gone unnoticed on the international stage either. Having previously featured at U21 level for Denmark, Biereth earned his first senior call-up in March and opened his account for the national team against Lithuania in June.
Now locked in at Monaco for the next five years, Biereth looks set to be a cornerstone of the club’s ambitions both domestically and in Europe. The Principality’s newest star isn’t just shining—he’s blazing a trail.
