The Monaco in Figures 2025 report, released by the Monegasque Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (IMSEE), offers a comprehensive overview of the Principality’s performance in 2024…
Often described as the statistical “bible” of Monaco, the report compiles key data across six main sectors, including demographics, the economy, and political and social life.
Monaco’s economy showed strong growth in 2024, with over 107 million hours worked—a 4% increase on the previous year—and record-breaking figures in turnover and business activity. The state reported a budget surplus of nearly €200 million, with the Constitutional Reserve Fund reaching €7.3 billion, representing almost three and a half years of public spending. Sectors such as scientific and technical services, construction, hospitality, and digital industries all experienced notable growth.
There are now almost 70,000 salaried jobs in Monaco, with a high concentration in the private sector. The hospitality sector once again delivered excellent results, and the digital sector alone accounts for nearly €1 billion in turnover and employs over 2,000 people.
This year’s edition also includes new data from ongoing annual census updates, offering detailed insights into Monaco’s resident population and housing trends. For the first time, statistics on animals in the Principality have been included thanks to the new SPA shelter.
