The ninth edition of the Rallye Princesse Charlène took place on Wednesday, April 2, gathering nearly 400 third-year students from Monaco’s three secondary schools—Collège Charles III, Institution François d’Assise – Nicolas Barré, and Lycée Rainier III—for a day of sport, education, and solidarity…

Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene attended the event, participating in a drawing workshop, prize ceremony, and showing her support for the global #WhiteCard campaign led by Peace and Sport.

Organised in collaboration with the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, Peace and Sport, and other key partners under the direction of the Department of Education, Youth and Sport (DENJS), the rally is held in conjunction with the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, observed each year on April 6. The initiative encourages young people to embody the core values of sport—teamwork, respect, neutrality, and inclusion.

Students formed mixed teams of four to five members to take on a series of physical and intellectual challenges. Activities included a creative drawing competition, an educational conference with champions for peace Marlène Nidecker, Pierre Frolla, and Kevin Crovetto, a rowing machine relay with the Société Nautique de Monaco, a rescue course led by the Académie de la Mer, and a multiple-choice quiz testing knowledge on sport and social responsibility.

Now a staple of Monaco’s educational and sporting calendar, the Rallye Princesse Charlène blends physical effort with reflection and creativity, promoting holistic development among youth. The event reflects the Principality’s commitment to shaping a generation of engaged, resilient, and socially aware young citizens, firmly rooted in the universal values of peace through sport.
