The Monaco Directorate of Cultural Affairs has announced a photography competition aimed at young people aged 11 to 25, focusing on the theme “Monaco’s Architectural Heritage.” This initiative, part of the 2025 European Heritage Days programme, seeks to engage the youth in preserving Monaco’s cultural heritage while encouraging artistic expression.

Participants are invited to capture images that highlight the architectural beauty of Monaco, whether through sweeping views or intricate details of buildings, roads, esplanades, or cityscapes. A panel of experts will select 15 outstanding photographs, evaluating both artistic merit and originality in showcasing the Principality’s built environment.

The selected works will be exhibited on the railings of the Saint-Martin Gardens from June 3 to October 5, 2025, coinciding with the European Heritage Days celebrations. Additionally, a special committee of young people will award prizes to four of the featured photographs.

The competition is open to Monegasque nationals, residents, students enrolled in Monaco, or young people working in the Principality. Registration and submission must be completed by Friday, April 25 via the culture.mc website. Further information is available at infodac@gouv.mc.
