More than 300 high school students gathered at the Auditorium Rainier III on Wednesday, March 19 for the second edition of the Monaco Foreign Universities Forum, a key event organised by the Monaco Parents’ Association to help students explore academic options beyond the Principality. Designed especially for pupils in Première and Terminale (first and final years), the forum connected students with representatives from 16 top-tier European universities offering English-language programmes.

The event aimed to ease the pressure of making post-baccalaureate decisions, a topic that can be daunting for both students and their families. Universities from countries including Spain and Italy showcased a broad range of programmes, with Business Management emerging as one of the most sought-after fields. However, options in a variety of disciplines ensured that students with all kinds of academic interests found something relevant.

Throughout the day, students were encouraged to ask questions, compare programmes, and consider studying abroad—a step that, for many, seemed more exciting than intimidating. “I don’t yet know exactly what I want to study,” said one student, “but this forum helps me explore options I wouldn’t have considered before.”

According to organisers, the forum is not only about informing students—it’s about broadening their horizons and helping them see the value of an international education. With strong English skills and growing global awareness, Monaco’s students are increasingly prepared to take their studies beyond borders. For many, the forum was a valuable first step toward shaping a promising academic future.
