Monaco’s Directorate of Public Safety officially welcomed a new generation of officers on Monday as around 30 recruits graduated during a ceremony held at the Rainier III Auditorium…
The event marked the completion of ten months of intensive training for the 40th class of lieutenant cadets and the 36th class of police officers, collectively named the Charlotte Casiraghi Class of 2026. The ceremony opened with the graduates singing the Monegasque national anthem a cappella, setting a solemn and proud tone for the occasion attended by senior officials and representatives of the Principality.
The training programme combined theoretical instruction with operational preparation, including physical training, intervention techniques and practical policing skills. Graduates will now take up roles across various departments within Public Safety, strengthening an institution that plays a central role in daily life in Monaco.
Several of the newly qualified officers spoke of their pride at reaching this milestone. One graduate, who joined the force in 2016 and finished top of the class, described the achievement as a special honour and said they looked forward to serving in general policing, responding directly to calls for assistance from the public.
Others will move into investigative roles, building on their experience in the field and contributing to judicial enquiries. With the Charlotte Casiraghi Class of 2026 now entering active service, Monaco’s police force gains a new cohort of highly trained officers committed to serving and protecting the Principality.
