The Monaco Economic Board (MEB) held its annual general assembly this week, bringing together representatives from businesses, professional organisations and public institutions to review the past year and outline priorities for 2026…

The meeting highlighted the continued growth and diversification of Monaco’s economic landscape, with membership expected to reach more than 600 companies. Discussions focused on reinforcing the MEB’s core role as a chamber of commerce, with a renewed emphasis on supporting local businesses and strengthening their international reach.

A key development is the refocusing of efforts on promoting Monaco abroad, with targeted initiatives aimed at attracting investors and creating new opportunities for Monegasque companies.

The results presented during the assembly pointed to a resilient and adaptable business community, capable of navigating global uncertainty while continuing to expand into new markets. Officials noted that companies based in Monaco have shown strong agility, maintaining activity despite shifting international conditions.

Looking ahead, 2026 is expected to see a strategic push into Asia, with planned operations in Shanghai and potential initiatives in Macau. At the same time, the MEB intends to maintain a balanced approach, continuing to develop relationships across Europe, including markets such as Montenegro and the United Kingdom.

The session concluded with a broader members’ meeting, reinforcing the organisation’s role as a central platform for dialogue, collaboration and economic development in the Principality.
