Peace and Sport has launched its White Card 2026 campaign in Monaco, reaffirming the role of sport as a powerful tool for peace, inclusion and education…

Unveiled at the Hôtel Métropole, the initiative centres on the now widely recognised White Card symbol, which represents a collective commitment from athletes and communities around the world to promote dialogue and mutual respect.

The campaign once again brings together political figures, sporting personalities and Peace and Sport’s “Champions for Peace”, highlighting the global reach of a movement that continues to grow each year. His Serene Highness Prince Albert II was present at the launch alongside representatives from across the sporting and institutional landscape, underlining Monaco’s ongoing support for the organisation’s mission.

This year’s edition places a particular focus on access to education, drawing attention to the millions of children worldwide who remain out of school. Organisers stressed that sport can play a key role in helping young people develop essential values such as respect, teamwork and acceptance, while also supporting broader social inclusion.

The White Card campaign will build momentum in the lead-up to April 6, the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, encouraging individuals, athletes and institutions to take part and show their support.

More than a symbolic gesture, the initiative continues to position sport as a universal language capable of bridging divides and fostering understanding across cultures.
