Under the soft lights of the Auditorium Rainier III, Monaco paid tribute to those learning to save lives.
Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlène attended the annual Monaco Red Cross first aid graduation ceremony on the evening of Tuesday, March 17, marking a milestone for hundreds of newly trained responders across the Principality.
The Princely Couple personally presented special awards to the most outstanding graduates, including the top three student first aiders from Collège Charles III, François d’Assise–Nicolas Barré and the International School of Monaco. Further distinctions were awarded to recipients from the police academy, civil service, Monaco City Hall, as well as representatives from the private sector, associations and the wider public.
In total, 1,451 people have now been trained to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations, the majority holding the PSC qualification—the first and most accessible level of first aid training.
Looking ahead to 2026, the Monaco Red Cross reaffirmed its commitment to training, public outreach and emergency support. A strong emphasis will remain on educating younger generations, ensuring life-saving skills are learned early and retained.
More than a formal ceremony, the event serves as a reminder of the vital role played by volunteers and instructors whose daily efforts continue to strengthen public awareness and preparedness—ultimately helping to make Monaco a safer place for all.
