The Principality of Monaco continues to position itself as a crossroads between historical heritage and forward-looking innovation…
On Wednesday March 11th, the Offroad Club Monaco organised a conference at the Oceanographic Museum, bringing together experts, athletes and institutional representatives to reflect on the links between heritage, environmental awareness and sporting innovation.
The event was held with the support of the club’s permanent academic and scientific committee and aimed to highlight the values that shape the identity of the Principality. Organisers explained that the initiative sought to promote Monaco’s cultural heritage while encouraging discussions about sustainability and the evolving role of sport in protecting natural environments.
The Offroad Club Monaco focuses particularly on outdoor sports and activities practiced beyond traditional urban settings. Through its initiatives, the organisation promotes a vision of sport that is closely connected to nature, responsibility and long-term environmental stewardship.
Throughout the day, a series of presentations and workshops brought together speakers from a wide range of backgrounds. Historians, scientific specialists, athletes and representatives of institutions from across the Mediterranean region shared perspectives on subjects including history, geopolitics and environmental challenges.
By encouraging dialogue between different disciplines, the conference aimed to underline the importance of understanding the past while developing innovative approaches for the future. In doing so, organisers hope to strengthen Monaco’s role as a hub for ideas that combine culture, sport and sustainability.
