Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlène will welcome Pope Leo XIV to the Principality of Monaco for an official apostolic visit on Saturday, March 28, according to an announcement released by the Palace.

The visit underscores the enduring relationship between Monaco and the Holy See, as well as the centuries-old ties linking the Grimaldi dynasty with the papacy. It follows an invitation extended by the Sovereign Prince during his meeting with the Holy Father at the Vatican on January 17. Archbishop Dominique-Marie David of Monaco also formally invited the pontiff, reflecting both the institutional and pastoral significance of the occasion.

As a sovereign state in which the Catholic, Apostolic and Roman faith is enshrined in the Constitution, Monaco regards its spiritual heritage as a cornerstone of national identity and institutional continuity, while remaining engaged with the modern world.

The papal visit is expected to mark a historic moment for the Principality and to serve as a strong message of hope, dialogue and peace.
