Hundreds of participants dressed in pink gathered on the Port Hercule waterfront as the 15th edition of the Pink Ribbon solidarity walk returned to the Monaco Run programme, once again placing prevention at the heart of its message…

Held alongside the weekend’s sporting events, the march brought together residents, visitors and local personalities in a shared show of support for the fight against breast cancer.

The five-kilometre route began on Quai Albert I before winding through some of the Principality’s most emblematic locations, including the Rock, the Oceanographic Museum, the Saint-Martin gardens and Casino Square, before returning to the port. Participants of all ages walked side by side, creating a sea of pink across Monaco whilst raising awareness of the importance of early detection and ongoing research.

Funds raised through the event will directly support scientific work led by Doctor Florent Hugonet at the Princess Grace Hospital Centre, focusing on improved screening and detection methods. Organisers described this year’s turnout as particularly encouraging, reflecting growing public engagement with prevention and women’s health issues.

Several leading figures from Monaco’s institutional and community life joined the walk to underline their support for the association and its mission. For many, the event has become an essential fixture on the Principality’s calendar, combining sport, solidarity and public health awareness.

The initiative also signals Pink Ribbon Monaco’s continued commitment beyond the event itself, with a new monthly wellbeing newsletter set to launch this month, offering practical advice and information aimed at strengthening prevention through education and community outreach.
