According to multiple sources, the man had just been treated for superficial injuries at the Princess Grace Hospital Centre in Monaco when he reportedly confessed to killing his wife and was taken into custody without resistance, as reported by Monaco Matin.
Emergency services, including police from Menton and Beausoleil as well as Monaco firefighters, were called to the couple’s apartment in the “Le Ténao” social housing complex, where the victim was found with severe injuries. An acquaintance present at the scene described being “stunned,” adding that the couple were long-time residents known as quiet and respectable.
