A new date has entered Monaco’s energy calendar with the launch of the first Monaco Energy Storage Forum, bringing together international technology providers, institutions and investors to discuss the future of energy storage…
The event focuses on a key challenge for renewable energy development: how to store and manage power efficiently in order to ensure stable and reliable supply. Energy storage is widely considered essential for maximising the potential of renewable sources such as solar and wind, allowing excess production to be stored and redistributed when needed. Several international companies, including Chinese industry leaders, presented large-scale storage models that have already proven economically successful, with some reporting strong and sustained growth linked directly to storage solutions.
Monaco-based companies also showcased innovative approaches, including artificial intelligence systems capable of predicting equipment failures in electrical and rotating machinery. By analysing real-time operating data, these tools can anticipate breakdowns and allow preventive maintenance, reducing outages and lowering carbon emissions through more efficient energy management.
For the Principality, the forum represents a significant step forward in its long-term energy strategy. Despite its small size, Monaco is positioning itself as a platform for international dialogue and innovation in sustainable technologies, in line with the vision promoted by Prince Albert II for several years.
By hosting this first edition, Monaco aims to foster partnerships and accelerate the adoption of smart energy systems, contributing to greater energy independence and resilience. The Monaco Energy Storage Forum is expected to become a regular meeting point for stakeholders committed to advancing renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure.
