After a landmark anniversary year, the Grimaldi Forum is entering 2026 with strong momentum and an events calendar already shaping up to be one of its busiest ever…
The convention and cultural centre marked its 25th anniversary in 2025, a year that also saw the opening of its long-awaited extension, adding 6,000 square metres of new space.
The results were immediate. Turnover reached €28 million, representing a rise of around 17 percent compared with the previous year, driven in part by increased capacity and a high level of international bookings. Major diplomatic, business and cultural events helped reinforce the venue’s role as both an economic engine and a showcase for the Principality on the global stage.
Looking ahead, management says demand for 2026 is already exceeding expectations, with the booking schedule filling faster than usual. Several high-profile international conferences and ceremonies are planned, alongside major sporting and tourism-linked events connected to Monaco’s growing role in global calendars, including cycling, gastronomy and institutional summits.
Cultural programming will remain a key pillar, with a major summer exhibition dedicated to the automobile and motor racing heritage, designed to appeal not only to motorsport fans but also to families and visitors seeking immersive experiences. Concerts, ballet performances, comedy festivals and anniversary celebrations are also scheduled throughout the year.
With business tourism, entertainment and international diplomacy increasingly overlapping in Monaco, the Grimaldi Forum is positioning itself as a central platform for all three. If current trends continue, 2026 could surpass even last year’s strong performance, further reinforcing the venue’s importance to the Principality’s economic and cultural strategy.
