Looking for fun, screen-free ways to keep children entertained during the winter holidays?
Princess Antoinette Park is proving to be one of the Principality’s most lively and family-friendly destinations this festive season, with a packed programme of creative and playful workshops.
Earlier this week, the park hosted a board-game morning led by the Roca Games association, transforming the Fabricat room into a welcoming playground for all ages. Around twenty games were available, ranging from classic favourites to oversized, life-size versions loaned by Monaco’s toy library. With volunteers on hand to explain the rules, encourage play and suggest new challenges, families were able to drop in, sit down and start playing straight away.
Parents welcomed the chance to step away from screens, while children discovered strategy games, logic puzzles and hands-on activities designed to stimulate creativity and teamwork. The relaxed atmosphere made it easy for different generations to play together, whether learning a new game or rediscovering an old favourite.
The fun continues throughout the holidays. On Friday, a woodworking workshop will invite children to create their own Christmas decorations, followed by another board-game session on Saturday. Sunday will see the park turn artistic, with a painting workshop rounding off the weekend.
With its mix of games, crafts and shared experiences, Princess Antoinette Park offers a simple but effective answer to the question many families ask at this time of year: what can we do together, close to home, that everyone will enjoy?
