More than a themed spin-off, this limited-edition game has been conceived as both a playable board game and a collectible object.
First published in 1935 and now sold in more than 113 countries, Monopoly is one of the world’s most recognisable board games. Its original concept, buying property, collecting rent and outlasting opponents, has remained unchanged for nearly a century, making it a familiar ritual around Christmas tables across generations.
This Monaco edition retains the classic rules while reimagining the board through the lens of SBM’s iconic universe. The artwork, entirely illustrated by Jean-Benoît Héron, replaces Atlantic City with emblematic Monte-Carlo locations, presented in a restrained, contemporary style. Tokens, cards and packaging draw inspiration from the Monegasque art de vivre without tipping into novelty.
Produced in a limited run and housed in a deluxe box, the game is clearly aimed at collectors as much as families. It can be played, displayed, or gifted, particularly appealing to those with a connection to Monaco or an appreciation for design-led editions.
