Princess Charlene spent the afternoon of Thursday, December 18, at the Monaco SPA, taking the opportunity to meet staff and board members and see the progress of the charity’s ongoing improvements at the Peille refuge.

As President of the organisation, the Princess toured the shelter to review work designed to enhance both the comfort of the animals and the experience for visitors and potential adopters. She was joined by her brother, Gareth Wittstock, Vice-President of the Monaco SPA, as well as Camille Gottlieb and Mélanie-Antoinette de Massy, sharing in the festive spirit of the visit.

Following the tour, the group gathered for a cosy Christmas tea with the shelter team, exchanging thanks, encouragement, and warm wishes ahead of the holiday season.

The visit served as a reminder of Monaco’s strong commitment to animal welfare. Princess Charlene praised the dedication of the SPA’s staff and volunteers, noting that the upgraded facilities at Peille would ensure a more welcoming environment for both animals and adopters as the new year approaches.
