Princely couple attended the annual Christmas Ball on Friday, December 12, an event held in the Empire Room of the Hôtel de Paris and regarded as one of the Principality’s flagship charity occasions.

Now in its 20th year, the Christmas Ball was held under the High Patronage of Princess Charlène and once again brought together guests in support of children-focused causes. The evening’s fundraising efforts centred on an auction conducted by Sotheby’s, with all proceeds allocated to the Princess Charlène of Monaco Foundation. Funds raised will support the Foundation’s work in drowning prevention and in promoting education through sport.

A highlight of the evening came when Princess Charlène was presented with the newly created “Monaco Star” award by event organiser Sandrine Knoell. The distinction recognises her ongoing commitment to improving the lives of children through the Foundation and marks the first time the award has been presented by the International Action Committee of the Christmas Ball.

Combining philanthropy with formality, the gala reaffirmed its role as a key moment in Monaco’s social calendar, uniting elegance and charitable engagement in support of the Principality’s youngest beneficiaries.
