The Espace Léo Ferré was filled with a warm sense of nostalgia on Thursday evening as it hosted a final, unforgettable celebration before its relocation to Îlot Pasteur…
To mark the occasion, Monaco City Hall organised a one-off concert titled Génération 90–2000, inviting audiences to relive two decades that left an indelible mark on popular music.
From the opening notes, the atmosphere was electric. The crowd was transported back to an era of dancefloors, chart-topping singles and television countdowns, as a line-up of emblematic artists took to the stage. Allan Théo, Boris, L5, Las Ketchup and Colonel Reyel delivered a succession of hits that once dominated radios and clubs, prompting spontaneous singalongs and energetic dancing across the hall. For many in attendance, the evening felt like a joyful reunion with the soundtrack of their youth.

Adding an extra layer of nostalgia, cult presenters Charly and Lulu — inseparable figures of Hit Machine — were on hand to host the show. With their trademark humour and infectious energy, they guided the audience through the evening, effortlessly recreating the spirit of late-1990s and early-2000s television culture.
Beyond the music, the concert carried symbolic weight. It was a heartfelt farewell to the Espace Léo Ferré as Monégasques have known it: a cultural venue that has hosted countless concerts, shows and shared memories over the years. As the final notes rang out, applause lingered long after, celebrating not just an era of music, but a place deeply woven into Monaco’s cultural life — ready now to begin its next chapter elsewhere.
