A new outdoor sports zone has opened on the Promenade Honoré II, giving local children a dedicated and secure space to play. Set in the heart of a residential neighbourhood, the fenced facility is designed for football and other ball games, offering young players a safe environment while ensuring nearby residents can enjoy peace and quiet.

The addition sits alongside the existing children’s playground and forms part of the Government’s broader effort to expand open-air activities for younger residents. The pitch is fully enclosed with protective netting to prevent stray balls, and the ground features a shock-absorbing surface to minimise the risk of injury. It is freely accessible to all, with on-site rules that include a ban on leather balls to keep noise levels down.

Opening hours vary by season: from November to March, the area is open from 9:00 to 18:00, and from April to October, from 9:00 to 19:00. The new facility complements the CityStade at Quai Antoine I, which caters to older children and teenagers, broadening the range of sports activities available without reservation.

Officials say the Government will continue to develop public leisure amenities and seize opportunities to enhance recreational spaces for all age groups throughout the Principality.
