December promises to be a richly emotional and intellectually vibrant month at the Théâtre Princesse Grace…

A standout highlight comes on Tuesday 9 December at 20:00: 4211 km, the multi-award-winning play that captured the 2024 Molières for Best Private Theatre Production and Female Revelation for Olivia Pavlou-Graham. Written and directed by Aïla Navidi, the piece takes its title from the 4,211 kilometres separating Paris and Tehran, the emotional and physical distance crossed by an Iranian family in exile.

Through the voice of their daughter Yalda, born in France, the audience is taken into an intimate story of displacement, identity, political rupture and enduring hope. Performed by a powerful ensemble including Sylvain Begert, François Bérard and Sandra Provasi, the 90-minute production unfolds without interval, drawing viewers into a deeply human journey shaped by loss, resilience and love for a homeland left behind.

December’s programme also includes La Famille by Samuel Benchetrit on Thursday 4 December, a sharp and tender family portrait, followed by the Rencontres philosophiques de Monaco on 11 December, exploring the theme of perversion. The month concludes on 18 December with Ring (Variations du couple) by Léonore Confino, directed by Côme de Bellescize.

With its mix of intimate drama, philosophical debate and contemporary writing, December at the Théâtre Princesse Grace offers a compelling invitation to reflect, feel and explore.
