On the eve of National Day, the Princely Family continued a long-standing tradition by hosting the annual Ambassadors’ Dinner, an important diplomatic gathering that signals the beginning of Monaco’s most symbolic celebrations…

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II, accompanied by Princess Charlene and Princess Caroline, welcomed the diplomatic and consular corps on Tuesday evening at the Yacht Club de Monaco. The event brought together ambassadors, consuls, senior officials and notable figures of the Principality, including Minister of State Christophe Mirmand, for an evening dedicated to Monaco’s international relationships and shared cultural ties.

Held in the elegant surroundings of the Yacht Club, the reception offered an opportunity to reaffirm the Principality’s commitment to cooperation, dialogue and its unique role on the international stage. The Ambassadors’ Dinner has become a key moment of protocol and conviviality, reflecting both the warmth of Monaco’s diplomacy and the importance placed on maintaining close bonds with nations represented within the Principality.

The evening’s formal atmosphere transitioned into spectacle a short time later, as Monaco’s sky lit up with a breathtaking fireworks display above Port Hercule. The show, staged as part of the 2025 National Day celebrations, transformed the harbour into a canvas of colour and light visible across the surrounding hills. Residents, visitors and families gathered along the quays to witness what many described as a staggering, brilliantly choreographed performance marking the start of the National Day festivities.

Together, the diplomatic reception and the fireworks display set a fitting and memorable tone for Monaco’s most cherished annual celebration.
