On the 6th November, the International University of Monaco (IUM) and the Monégasque Association of Compliance Officers (AMCO) have officially launched a new professional certification dedicated to the fight against money laundering, the financing of terrorism, the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, and corruption (LCB/FT-P-C)…
The launch event took place this morning at One Monte-Carlo during a breakfast attended by Pierre-André Chiappori, Government Counsellor–Minister of Finance and Economy, Jean-Philippe Muller, Director of IUM, Emmanuel Montigaud, President of AMCO, and Bruno Dalles, Director of the Monégasque Financial Security Authority (AMSF), alongside numerous professionals from the Principality’s business community.
According to organisers, the new certification reflects Monaco’s continued commitment to upholding the highest international standards in financial compliance and integrity. Jointly developed by IUM and AMCO, the programme aims to equip professionals with the tools and knowledge necessary to identify, prevent, and manage financial crime risks effectively.
Targeted at entities outside the banking and financial sectors, the certification focuses on implementing robust risk management frameworks that align with Moneyval’s recommendations and the expectations of the AMSF. By offering structured, practical training, it seeks to strengthen Monaco’s broader efforts in financial transparency and reinforce the Principality’s reputation as a jurisdiction committed to ethical and responsible business practices.
