A new association, Yes Women Monaco, was officially launched on November 4th at the Port Palace with a mission to unite and mobilise women around major global causes…

For its first campaign, the association has chosen to support the fight against AIDS, working alongside Fight Aids Monaco, founded by Her Serene Highness Princess Stéphanie, and the Namibian association Penduka. The initiative aims to highlight women’s contributions to AIDS research, awareness, empowerment, and care, while promoting solidarity across borders.

As reported by Monaco Info, Yes Women Monaco was created by Nicole Dionne and Sophie Girone with the goal of building a community of engagement and giving visibility to organisations working with vulnerable populations, particularly women. “Why women?” the founders ask. “Because today, AIDS still affects them most severely.” The association seeks to provide a communication bridge for these groups, ensuring their messages reach a wider audience through shared platforms and cross-association visibility.

The campaign’s next major event will take place on December 1 at La Môme, where a gala dinner will celebrate the two partner associations and raise funds for ongoing projects. A trophy will be awarded to honour their commitment, and proceeds will be split between both organisations. In addition, a participatory fundraising campaign—A Woman, One Euro—will be launched on social media to encourage small but collective acts of generosity. The movement’s motto encapsulates its spirit: “Alone we can do little, but together we can accomplish a lot.”
