On Wednesday, October 29th, Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene, President of the Monegasque Rugby Federation, travelled to Martkopi, Georgia, accompanied by her brother Gareth Wittstock, to encourage Monaco’s U16 national rugby team currently attending a high-level training camp…

Welcomed at the Georgian Rugby Federation Training Centre, a facility renowned for its world-class infrastructure, the young Monegasque players have been participating in a series of friendly matches against top Georgian sides. The intensive camp forms part of their preparation for the Dubai International Rugby Sevens Tournament, scheduled for the end of November, offering valuable experience ahead of international competition.

During her visit, HSH Princess Charlene attended a first aid training workshop organised by the Georgian Red Cross in collaboration with the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation. She was joined by Natia Loladze, Vice President of the Georgian Red Cross, and Davit Kacharava, President of the Georgian Rugby Federation. The session reflected the Princess’s ongoing commitment to promoting safety, solidarity, and life-saving education through sport.

The day ended on a triumphant note for the Monaco U16 team, which secured two additional victories, bringing their record to four wins and two defeats during the training camp, a promising sign ahead of their international debut in Dubai.
