Monaco has reinforced its ties with Poland through the inauguration of a new Honorary Consulate in Warsaw, which will now cover the entire Polish territory. The official opening took place on Tuesday, October 21, in the presence of H.E. Lorenzo Ravano, Monaco’s Ambassador to Poland, and First Secretary Andrea Colombo-Pastorelli.
To mark the occasion, a reception was hosted by the Embassy of Monaco and the newly appointed Honorary Consul, Mr Mikołaj Pietrzak, at the renowned Belvedere Restaurant, located in the Orangery of Warsaw’s historic Łazienki Park. Around sixty distinguished guests attended the event, including former Minister of Justice Adam Bodnar, several Polish senators, representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Polish Chamber of Commerce, members of the technology sector, and diplomats from other embassies and consulates based in Warsaw.
In his address, Ambassador Ravano reflected on the longstanding friendship between Monaco and Poland, highlighting the steady growth of bilateral relations since diplomatic ties were first established. He also underlined the fruitful economic cooperation fostered in recent years between the Monaco Economic Board and the Polish Chamber of Commerce, noting that such initiatives continue to open new avenues for collaboration.
The Ambassador took the opportunity to thank Mr Tomasz Wardyński, who faithfully served as Monaco’s Honorary Consul in Warsaw from 2008 to 2025, recognising his significant contribution to strengthening relations between the two nations.
Mr Pietrzak’s appointment and the opening of the new consulate mark an important step in expanding Monaco’s diplomatic network across Central Europe, further deepening political, cultural, and economic links between the Principality and Poland.
