His Serene Highness Prince Albert II inaugurated the Rainier III Academy’s fully renovated auditorium on Monday, October 20, in a ceremony attended by a host of dignitaries, including HE Mr. Christophe Mirmand, Archbishop Dominique-Marie David, Vice-President of the National Council Jean-Louis Grinda, Mayor Georges Marsan, members of the Municipal Council, and numerous officials.

The upgraded auditorium, now seating 75, represents a significant investment in the Academy’s educational and cultural infrastructure. The space has been redesigned to accommodate a wide range of activities, from theatrical performances and musical recitals to lectures and workshops, providing students with a modern environment that meets both artistic and academic requirements.

The renovation, carried out between September 2024 and October 2025, reflects the strong collaboration between the Prince’s Government and Monaco City Hall. It demonstrates a shared commitment to excellence in arts education and the Principality’s broader cultural ambitions. The Academy has long been recognised as a centre for fostering creativity, and the new auditorium will further enhance its role in shaping the next generation of Monegasque artists and performers.

The ceremony also highlighted Monaco’s dedication to promoting the arts as an integral part of education. With this new facility, the Rainier III Academy is well-positioned to continue hosting high-quality performances and events that engage both students and the wider community, reinforcing the Principality’s reputation as a hub for culture, creativity, and learning.
