Monaco extended a warm diplomatic welcome this week as two newly accredited ambassadors formally presented their credentials to His Serene Highness Prince Albert II before taking part in an official luncheon at the Hôtel Hermitage on Tuesday, October 14.

Representing the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Marie-Catherine Caruso-Ravera, Director of Diplomatic and Consular Relations, hosted the event in honour of H.E. Betty Chebet Cherwon, Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya, and H.E. Essam Abdulaziz Aljassim, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Ambassador Cherwon is also accredited to Portugal, Serbia, and the Holy See, while Ambassador Aljassim serves concurrently as non-resident envoy to Switzerland, the Holy See, and Andorra.

The luncheon, attended by Chloé Leclercq of the Monaco Private Label initiative and Guillaume Rose, CEO of the Monaco Economic Board, provided an opportunity to reaffirm Monaco’s growing ties with both nations. Discussions touched on avenues for economic collaboration, investment, and cultural exchange, as well as the Principality’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations across diverse fields.

The visit marked another step in Monaco’s active engagement with the international community — a reflection of its continued efforts to foster mutual understanding and cooperation with partners across Africa and the Gulf region.
