Monaco lit up in pink on Saturday evening as the Principality came together for the annual Pink Ribbon Monaco Gala, an event dedicated to raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research. Over 20 of Monaco’s most recognisable landmarks were illuminated, signalling the city-state’s commitment to women’s health under the Honorary Presidency of Princess Charlène.

The gala was held in the historic Salle Empire of the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, bringing together philanthropists, celebrities, and community leaders for an evening of elegance and purpose. Proceeds from the event will support a clinical trial at Princess Grace Hospital led by Dr. Florent Hugonnet, focused on improving early detection of lobular breast cancer, a type often difficult to diagnose.

President of Pink Ribbon Monaco, Natasha Frost-Savio, addressed the attendees, reflecting on the organisation’s impact over the past 15 years. She emphasised that the association’s work, while rooted in Monaco, resonates far beyond its borders, creating a ripple effect that helps women and families worldwide.

The event attracted a diverse roster of guests, including Formula 1 driver Valtteri Bottas, cyclist Tiffany Cromwell, footballer Paul Pogba, artist Carol Bruton, and representatives from ASM Football Club and Senate Grand Prix. Elegant floral arrangements by Miss Rose and Segraeti Monaco enhanced the sophisticated atmosphere of the evening, complementing the spirit of generosity and solidarity.

Since its founding in 2011, Pink Ribbon Monaco has become one of the Principality’s most prominent advocacy organisations, known for initiatives like the Pink Ribbon Walk in February and the annual illumination of Monaco landmarks during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Working closely with the Princess Grace Hospital, the National Council, and the Prince’s Government, the association continues to champion women’s health, combining local action with global impact.

The pink glow across Monaco served as a striking visual reminder of the city’s dedication to combating breast cancer and supporting women everywhere, celebrating the power of community, compassion, and collective action.
