A delegation from the French-Monegasque Interparliamentary Friendship Group paid an official visit to Monaco’s National Council on the morning of Saturday, October 11.

Led by Dominique Estrosi-Sassone, the group’s president, around ten French senators were welcomed by Thomas Brezzo, President of the National Council, along with several councillors. The visit began with a tour of the parliamentary building, offering an overview of its history and the workings of Monaco’s legislative institution.

Beyond the formalities, the meeting provided a platform for discussion on key cross-border issues between France and Monaco — most notably transport links and housing, two topics central to everyday life for residents of both territories.

The exchange reaffirmed the long-standing cooperation between the Principality and France, highlighting a shared commitment to finding pragmatic solutions to common challenges faced along their closely connected border.
