The Monaco Business Circle, co-founded by Gavin Sharpe of Riviera Wellbeing and Irene Luke of Savills, has celebrated its first anniversary with a private dinner at Chez Pierre on the evening of Tuesday, October 7, bringing together its members for an evening of reflection and forward planning.
Founded a year ago as a selective, invitation-only community, the Circle has rapidly become one of Monaco’s most distinctive leadership groups. Unlike traditional networking clubs, its purpose isn’t business card exchanges but meaningful personal and professional growth. “It’s not about exchanging business cards over bad wine,” organiser and co-founder Gavin Sharpe told NEWS.MC, adding that “this is about leaders connecting at a deeper level, learning more about themselves and how to lead with authenticity.”
Members of the Circle meet every six to eight weeks at CREM, where hierarchy is left outside the door. The discussions focus on integrity, wellbeing, and high performance, with the group described by participants as open, ego-free, and refreshingly genuine.
Beyond leadership development, the Circle also embraces philanthropy. Proceeds from events go to Child Care Monaco, supporting children’s education initiatives.
With Savills continuing as the principal sponsor, Sharpe confirmed plans to expand in 2026, with more private dinners, new invitations, and the Circle’s first leadership retreat on the horizon. “The response has been incredible,” he said. “We’ve built something truly different, a community of leaders who support one another, grow together, and give back.”
