Four new ambassadors have officially taken up their posts in Monaco this week, marking a continued strengthening of the Principality’s international ties.

On Tuesday, October 7, following the presentation of their letters of credence to His Serene Highness Prince Albert II, the diplomats were received by Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, during a luncheon held at the Hôtel Hermitage.

The newly accredited ambassadors are H.E. Mr. Nodir Ganiev, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan, formerly posted to Sweden; H.E. Ms. Hanne Fugl Eskjaer, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark, who previously served as Denmark’s envoy to Bangladesh from 2013 to 2016 and Canada from 2019 to 2024; H.E. Ms. Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, who was previously posted to the Republic of Korea from 2020 to 2021; and H.E. Mr. Mohamed Yahya Teiss, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, formerly accredited to Senegal, Guinea, Cabo Verde, and Guinea-Bissau, with residence in Dakar.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss ongoing diplomatic and economic cooperation between Monaco and each of the four nations. Also present were Chloé Leclercq, Project Officer in the Attractiveness Unit and head of the Monaco Private Label programme, and Guillaume Rose, Chief Executive Officer of the Monaco Economic Board.

Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations and exploring new avenues for collaboration in areas such as trade, culture, and innovation.
