The Principality of Monaco and the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago officially established diplomatic ties with the signing of a joint communiqué in New York on Wednesday, September 24.
The agreement was formalised by Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Monaco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, and Sean Sobers, Trinidad and Tobago’s Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, during a ceremony held at the country’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations.
The meeting, organised on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, provided an opportunity for the two nations to exchange views on a wide range of shared interests, including tourism, sport, and maritime issues.
Both ministers also emphasised their commitment to strengthening cooperation within multilateral organisations, reinforcing a shared vision of collaboration on the international stage.
