On Wednesday, 24 September, Prince Albert II of Monaco began his programme at the United Nations headquarters, where heads of state and government gathered for the opening of the General Assembly.
The Sovereign was joined by Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Monaco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation; Isabelle Picco, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Monaco to the UN; and Julie Donati, advisor in the Prince’s cabinet.
At 9:45 a.m., Prince Albert II delivered his address to the Assembly, underlining Monaco’s commitment to multilateral cooperation and international stability. Before taking the podium, he held a brief exchange with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, reflecting Monaco’s engagement with ongoing global crises.
The Prince’s intervention once again highlighted the Principality’s determination to contribute to dialogue and collective action on pressing international challenges, from peace and security to climate and sustainable development.
